There are several medical treatments for piles depending upon their severity,
For mild infections, doctors may prescribe OTC supplements that can relieve pain and reduce inflammation.
For moderate miles, you may apply ointments that contain hydrocortisone-pramoxine or laxatives that can ease constipation.
If the piles get severe, several higher levels are recommended like,
The rubber band is wound around the piles causing them to fall off and then forming scar tissue. This usually takes 10-12 days but the haemorrhoids wouldn't return after this treatment.
The inflamed tissue is directly injected with a chemical solution causing it to shrink and form scar tissue after healing.
This involves the surgical removal of the haemorrhoidal tissue by administering anaesthesia. This is only recommended for a few as it carries the risks of damaging anal tissues.
Here the hanging piles are pushed in and stapled to hold them in place.
Yes! Almost in many cases. Your haemorrhoids may completely go away after the pregnancy as the hormone levels, abdominal pressure and blood pressure become normal after childbirth.
